Conference Tournament Time:: Big East

Its March! That means it is time for me to breakdown the biggest conference tournament of the year... the Big East! The BIG East was highly rated before the season and is still very highly rated. Their have been ups and downs and suprise teams and teams that have absolutley just collapsed when the Big East season began. Notre Dame was 9-2 and I think they were ranked as high as 7 coming into the big east season and right now they are now 16-12 and havent been ranked for about a good month now. Some Suprise teams have been WVU, Cincy, and Providence. Well enough with the talking and lets try to break down the packed Big East conference!

First Round *Seedings Subject to Change**
------------

#9: Cincinnati

#16: Depaul

:: Winner right here is Cincinnati and im almost 95% sure on this pick and alot of you probably are as well. Cincinnati will be in desperate mode to get a couple wins in this tourney so these type of games they need to win. If their is something to watch for on the depaul side of the ball it has to be Dar Tucker he is depaul's explosive player averaging 18 PPG. Cincy got this win though! Cincy Wins by 15+

#10: Notre Dame

#15: Rutgers

:: Winner is Notre Dame, their situation is kind of like Cincy but I believe Notre dame will get a bid in the NCAA's so no way Rutgers will ruin that for them. One thing to watch out for is the fabulous Freshman Mike Rosario it is a shame that he does not get a lot of attention just because his team is kind of weak but he proves every weak he can compete against top tier teams like Notre Dame where he scored 20 last time round. Irish win by 10+

#11: Georgetown

#14: South Florida

:: Your winner is Georgetown in this matchup but don't say hey georgetown needs this win just like the other teams this will be a blowout, USF showed they can compete with every team in the Big east this season they obviously beat marquette to snap their streak. But some things other followers haven't noticed is that they lost @Pitt by only 12 but the game was within 8 most of the time and it has been like that for most of their games but they just don't have as much talent to win those close games so this is no cupcake. Gtown wins by 5-10

#12: Seton Hall

#13: St. Johns

:: Your winner here is St. Johns, this game will be kind of a toss up but their are a couple reasons why I like St. Johns in this 12/13 matchup. First off this tournament will be played in St. Johns homecourt at MSG so they wont get those butterflys other teams will. Also johns has recently just beat Seton Hall and have one their last 2 out of three games. St. Johns wins by 2-6 points!

Quarterfinals

----------------

#8: West Virginia

#9: Cincinnati

:: This most likely will be a up and down matchup but I think that Cincy is very very desperate and will need to win this game. Cincy proved they can beat WVU but that was at home, now this will be at a neutral site where WVU wont shoot 33% again like they did in Cincinnati and still only won by 4. Cincy can surely still win this game but if WVU dosen't shoot 33% again they will win by 4-10 points.

#7: Syracuse

#10: Notre Dame

:: The first (kind of) big upset of this tournament in my opinion will be ND taking down syracuse, im never sure with syracuse playing away from the carrier dome. The cuse are 3-5 in conf. Away. and 7-10 Overall away. Like I said a ton of times before ND is desperate and back to playing good bball they proved they can play on the road by whooping providence so im taking the upset in this one ND by 2-6 points~!!!

#6: Providence

#11: Georgetown

:: Im taking another upset of the tournament and taking the Hoyas. They have been playing good and they need to play good they beat Villanova, which was @ nova and are 1-0 against Providence this season their situation is idenitcal to ND's they need to win out and win some in the tournament!! Prov. wins by 6-12 Points.

#5: Villanova

#13: St. Johns

:: Villanova is to good in this game. Their is not to much to say but I think that St. Johns will put up a fight . Reynolds and Cunningham are to good though!! Nova wins by 10+
